For myself, I walked 18 miles this last week. We reached Multnomah Falls! Hooray! Multnomah Falls, for those who don't know it, is on the Columbia River Gorge. I'll show you.
(my sister Beth at the foot of Multnomah Falls)
You can see the bridge above the lower half of the falls. That bridge is a loooong way up. It's a beautiful bridge with a beautiful view - if you aren't terrified of heights, like me. I prefer standing at the bottom and looking up. :)
See you next week!
Hi, Meme -
ReplyDelete(Love the name!)
I just stumbled onto your virtual trek rather by accident. Love the idea! In fact, I tried to do something similar several years ago but never figured out how to map it.
You've inspired me! I've recently gotten back to exercising, including walking and biking. I'm going to take another stab at a virtual trek. Hope it's okay if I'm studying while walking! hard to walk and read at the same time, but at this point I have to.
I'm a little concerned, though. You haven't posted since Feb, 2014, and you last tagged western NY. You haven't hung up your walking shoes, have you? If you have, is there a chance it's time to put them back on again?
You've tagged several places that are very special to me, among them Multnomah Falls, YNP, and SLC. Hope to "see you out on the road!" :)
Elizabeth
Hi, Elizabeth. I've not hung up my walking shoes, but I have moved them. (And until today I lost this blog. I'm still trying to reclaim it.) You can see my newly restarted journey, with friends, at http://habiticatrail.blogspot.com/
